Privacy policy

Stalwart Wireless provides fixed wireless internet service in Minnesota. This policy explains what information we collect from visitors to this website and from our subscribers, how we use it, and when we share it.

Information we collect

When you visit this website. Cloudflare sits in front of this site to deliver it and block attacks, so it sees your IP address and each request; Cloudflare's privacy policy covers that. Our own servers do not keep logs of visits, and this site does not use analytics services, advertising trackers or cookies. The page fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser requests those files from Google; Google's privacy policy covers that request.

When you contact us or request service. The contact form asks for your name, email address, phone number, service address, the plan you are interested in, who referred you and any comments. We use this to answer you, check line of sight from your address to our towers and schedule a site survey or installation. Submissions are emailed to our office and kept as business correspondence.

When you become a subscriber. We keep account and billing information (name, service address, contact details and payment details, which are handled through our customer portal), details about the equipment installed at your address, the network address assigned to your connection and signal data from your antenna, and the connection status and amount of data your connection uses. We need the usage data to run the network and to apply the excessive use policy in our acceptable use policy. We do not inspect the contents of your traffic or keep records of the websites you visit.

How we use it

We use the information above to provide, install, support and bill for your internet service, to contact you about outages, scheduled work, billing or changes to your service, to manage our network, and to meet our legal obligations. We do not use it for marketing, and we only contact you about your service.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not disclose information about your online activity. Minnesota law (Minnesota Statutes, chapter 325M) prohibits internet service providers from knowingly disclosing personally identifiable information about a subscriber, including the websites they visit, except as that law allows.

When we share information

  • The company that runs our customer portal and billing software, Ubiquiti's UISP. It may use the information only to provide that service to us.
  • When the law requires it, such as a subpoena, a court order or a request from law enforcement acting under legal authority.
  • With your permission, when you ask us to share something.
  • To protect the network and other subscribers, for example when enforcing the acceptable use policy.

How long we keep it

We keep account records for as long as you are a subscriber and afterwards for as long as billing records, disputes and legal requirements call for. Contact form inquiries are kept as ordinary business correspondence.

Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical and physical steps to protect the information we hold. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can ask to see or correct the information in your account, or ask us to delete information we are not required to keep, by contacting us below.

Children

This website and our service are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
